Data Driven Innovation Award
Exhibiting and sponsoring companies are once again invited to submit an abstract for the Data Driven Innovation Award. This award recognizes an outstanding vendor/sponsor relationship that developed a new technology-based product or service to innovatively address the sponsor's study needs from a clinical data management perspective.
WHO CAN ENTER
The 2009 Data Driven Innovation Award is open to any partnering organization in the clinical data management industry, of any size, operating anywhere in the world. At least one of the companies highlighted in the application must be an exhibitor or sponsor at the 2009 SCDM Annual Conference, herein referred to as the primary entrant. Projects must be either in production or developed and deployed since September 25, 2008.
HOW TO ENTER
The entry deadline will be Friday, July 24.
- All entries must be submitted via the online entry form
- All entries must be submitted in English
- Supporting material may be submitted, but should be limited to three items
- Entries must be based on activities undertaken since the 2008 SCDM Annual Conference (September 25, 2008)
All entries must include:
- The primary entrant name as you wish to be referred to throughout the competition
- The partnering organization name(s) to be referred to as throughout the competition
- The product or service name (if applicable)
- Project title
- Contact details of primary entrant
- Project overview statement (250 words)
- Description of how the project's solution adds significant impact on quality or efficiency to the data manager's work (250 words)
- Explanation of how the project represents an innovative application of process or technology (250 words)
- Portrayal of how the project demonstrates an active collaboration between a service or technology provider and a study sponsor (250 words)
- Key Players – Please supply contact names and email addresses of personnel involved in the partnership
JUDGING CRITERIA
Each application will be judged on the following criteria:
- Does the project solution significantly impact the quality or efficiency of the CDM's work?
- Does the project represent an innovative application of a process or technology?
- Does the project demonstrate an active collaboration between a service or technology provider and a study sponsor?
SELECTION PROCESS
All applications will be reviewed by a panel of non-partisan judges between July 24 and August 14. The top five entries will be notified by August 17. Each of the top five entries will be expected to demonstrate their project to the judges on Sunday, October 4, or Monday, October 5, during the Annual Conference.
PRESENTATION OF AWARDS
The top five entries will be recognized and the first and second place winners will be announced during the Monday night Data Driven Innovation Award Reception.
