Dear readers,

Spring is around the corner – it’s a great time to start some new activities. Have you had a chance to check out the volunteer opportunities on the website?
One opportunity is working on the GCDMP© (now available for free). We are looking for folks to be involved in its ongoing maintenance and updates, so please let us know if you are interested in sharing your knowledge and insights at info@scdm.org.

Another volunteer opportunity is on our Clinical Data Innovations Committee. The innovation team is now working on a metrics and analytics initiative. We are also looking for ideas for round table discussions – do you have an innovation topic that you’d like to hear about or contribute to? If you would like to be part of this vibrant team, please reach out to me. We are always looking for additional people and innovative ideas.

The SCDM 2017 Annual Conference dates and sponsorship brochure are now available! Mark your calendar for Orlando September 24-27 and register now! Please also consider presenting and sharing your experiences and ideas with your colleagues. The call for abstracts opens in a few weeks and stays open for a month.

Keep an eye on the website for our online courses and webinars. You can sign up for the Managing Clinical Trials Utilizing Electronic Data Capture course March 13-April 9 with other courses following on CRF Design, Metrics and Identifying Data Trends, Processing Lab Data and more.

Reminder: the SCDM membership year ends on the 31st December. If you haven’t already, please renew as soon as you can for 2017.

Get a fresh start this spring with networking and learning from your fellow data management professionals.

Kindest regards,
Linda King
Secretary
SCDM Board of Trustees
