Volunteer Opportunities
Subject Matter Experts
SCDM invites experts in subject areas of clinical data management to guide content for new chapters and revisions of Good Clinical Data Management Practices (GCDMP), SCDM's award-winning resource of best practices.
Three to five SMEs work with a team of technical writers to develop each chapter. SMEs are primarily responsible for reviewing content for accuracy and completeness. Assignments are short-term, generally lasting two to three months, with a total time commitment of approximately 40 hours.
Requirements for SME's include:
- Three to five years of direct experience with the topic at an expert level
- Good communication skills and command of the English language
- Ready access to necessary authorities or resources to confirm accuracy or compliance of content according to governmental or regulatory agencies or other authoritative bodies and guidance
SMEs are eligible to receive participation credits, which can be used toward certification renewal.
Volunteers are required to submit their qualifications and CV to be considered.
