The Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM) was founded in 1994 as a non-profit organization. With over 3,000 members from around the globe, we work together to advance Clinical Data Management. Through education, certification, and our influence, we play a crucial role in the advancement of clinical research and the development of safe and effective medical treatments for a healthier world.

As a society, we strive to actively influence the industry
by promoting best practices, standards, and technical
innovation. We achieve this by creating a welcoming
space for all stakeholders, including policy makers,
regulators, patient organizations, and companies. Our
goal is to enhance and enrich the quality and integrity
of clinical trial data through open collaboration.

Backed by the FDA, our 11 founding leaders established a global society that now encompasses 49 countries. We have 4 offices worldwide and organize 5 conferences in India, China, Europe, and the US. Today, we uphold our educational mission while providing our inclusive community with a platform to showcase innovative technologies, cutting-edge approaches, and the latest insights in clinical data management.
