SCDM Annual Conference 2022

This year’s Annual Conference is just around the corner, a little more than 1 month away. Reminder: for 2022, SCDM is back IN-PERSON helping our existing members, new members, supporters, and partners RECONNECT with one another in a very meaningful, hands on, and what we hope to be, a very fun way. The conference will be on September 11-14 in the culturally rich, San Antonio, TX. The call for abstracts is complete, and our program is set, all we are missing is YOU!  Thank you to Conference Committee members, and all our session chairs and presenters who are working so hard to make this event a huge success. SCDM EMEA Conference

The SCDM EMEA Conference completed in June, and it was AMAZING! I had the awesome pleasure of being able to personally attend this year and it felt great! This year was our most highly attended EMEA Conference. All attendees were WOWED by our brilliant keynote speaker, intrigued by with our many professional and knowledgeable speakers and engaged with our outstanding partners and vendors.  This year’s conference was graciously hosted by SCDM partner Novartis at their beautiful Basel, Switzerland campus. I BIG THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible and valuable! Stay tuned (shortly) for announcement about SCDM EMEA 2023 Conference! You won’t want to miss it!

Certification Committee

Are you not a CCDM yet? Now it is a great opportunity as the regular CCDM exam has been launched. Please click here to get certified.

We are always looking for “Item Writers” volunteers for the CCDM Item Question Bank (must hold a current CCDM). If you are interested, please contact LaTrese [email protected] to get involved.

GCDMP Committee

The GCDMP revisions project is continuing at a great pace and our wonderful team of volunteers is working hard to update all the remaining GCDMP chapters as soon as possible. More than half of the chapters have been completely rehauled and are now fully evidence based thanks to the leadership of our Chief Editor and the GCDMP Committee members.

Innovation Committee

SCDM is always exploring the future and the Innovation Committee is the driving force. Hopefully you’ve read the numerous white papers the committee has published. If not, you can find them here.

The Innovation Committee continues to explore hot topics, partner with other organizations and break through traditional DM boundaries. While we as an industry have come a long way in recent years, innovation never stops and many of our membership continue their great interest in RBQM/RBDM, AI/ML, DHT, eSource, etc. as evidenced by most abstracts we received for our annual conferences.

Lastly, I am happy to announce that on September 1st, the SCDM Innovation Committee will release the latest CDS position paper: Evolution toward Clinical Data Science.
