On our quest to better serve patients and sites, SCDM recently became a contributing member of the Multi-Regional Clinical Trials Center of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard (MRCT Center) initiative to grow and advance the distribution of their plain language Clinical Research Glossary.

This glossary offers not only easy-to-understand clinical research definitions but also many opportunities to the SCDM community including but clearly not limited to:

The creation of understandable patient instructions (e.g., ePRO completion instructions, clear e-Inform Consents),
The development of training materials enabling new industry professionals to understand core concepts faster, and
The release of JSCDM Articles accessible to non-CDM Experts.

The MRCT Center and SCDM will offer educational opportunities to members of the clinical data science community to grasp the opportunities the glossary presents and better serve the needs of our patients.
