Our elev8 platform continues to evolve as a valuable resource for learning, collaboration, and professional development. Members can access a growing library of educational content, practical insights, and tools designed to support clinical data management professionals at every stage of their careers. If you haven’t explored the latest additions recently, now is a great time to take another look. elev8 is also a valuable resource for support of certifications including CCDA, CCDM® and CCDS.
AI White Paper and GCDMP Updates
Artificial intelligence continues to transform the clinical research landscape, and SCDM remains committed to helping our community navigate these changes responsibly and effectively.
We’re currently issuing a final call for co-authors to contribute to the upcoming AI White Paper. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape industry perspectives and provide practical guidance on the evolving role of AI in clinical data management.
In addition, several updates to the Good Clinical Data Management Practices (GCDMP) guide are progressing including Project Management, RB-CDM, Edit Check Design and Database Lock and our editorial board continues to be hard at work. New chapters will soon be available for public review including. Member feedback remains essential to ensuring that GCDMP continues to reflect current best practices and emerging trends across our industry.
Upcoming JSCDM Publications
The Journal of the Society for Clinical Data Management (JSCDM) continues to serve as an important platform for sharing research, innovation, and thought leadership. The upcoming issue will feature new articles addressing contemporary challenges and opportunities in clinical data management, offering valuable perspectives from industry experts and researchers alike.
CCDS Launch Update
We’re excited by the strong interest surrounding the launch of the Clinical Data Science Certification (CCDS) as a beta version. This new credential reflects the growing intersection of clinical data management, analytics, and data science, helping professionals demonstrate expertise in a rapidly evolving field.
The launch represents another important step in SCDM’s commitment to supporting career growth and preparing the workforce for the future of clinical research. Official launch will be completed by the Annual Conference!
SCDM Conferences and SCDM Live Events
SCDM EMEA in Copenhagen this year was a resounding success. With an opening and closing keynote focusing on the challenges within the ever-evolving landscape and what European and global organizations can do to continue competitiveness and innovative impact as well as the adoption of AI as an informative tool by both patients and doctors alike.
Planning is already underway for the SCDM 2027 EMEA Conference in Athens, Greece! Mark your calendars and don’t miss out on this exciting and valuable experience to learn, grow professionally and network.
Registration is now open for the SCDM Annual Conference, taking place September 14–17 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
This year’s program features an engaging mix of keynote presentations, expert-led sessions, interactive discussions, and networking opportunities designed to address the most important topics shaping our industry today. Attendees can expect thought-provoking conversations around artificial intelligence, data quality, innovation, regulatory considerations, technology advancements, and the future of clinical data management.
